2026-2027 School Year

BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND/OR SPANISH EDUCATOR/TEACHER

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; and 
  • Current New Mexico Department of Education license appropriate to the teaching assignment with applicable endorsements (bilingual and TESOL preferred) or ability to obtain proper licensure and endorsements.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates teaching program with school goals and objectives;
  • Implements approved curricula to achieve student learning at appropriate state standards and benchmarks level for each grade;
  • Arranges physical environment of the classroom for optimum learning and safety of students; 
  • Uses and applies appropriate conflict resolution skills with students;
  • Maintains positive attitude and ensures classroom environment is conducive to student learning; 
  • Develops goals and objectives for self, group, and student academic achievement, maintaining documentation to assure accountability;
  • Provides appropriate instructional classroom activities for students;
  • Maintains order in the assigned classroom;
  • Maintains records of student performance and attendance;
  • Completes required reports and report cards within prescribed time frames;
  • Maintains appropriate contact with parents/guardians regarding student progress, arranges for and attends parent /teacher conferences; 
  • Attends staff meetings and in-service training activities; 
  • Competent technology skills;       
  • Adheres to Code of Ethics as outlined in 6.60.9 New Mexico Administrators Code; and 
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND/OR SPANISH EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License; and
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Substitute License.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties include: assisting teachers and professionals with preparation and/or delivery of instructional material;
  • Assisting in one-on-one and small group activities;
  • Assisting in caring for student needs;
  • Assisting teacher and ancillary staff in implementing goals and objectives for each student;
  • Assisting in management/re-direction of students who may be disruptive or combative;
  • Assisting with supervision of students on the playground, cafeteria, restrooms, and hallways;
  • Participating in staff meetings, in-service training as per negotiated agreement, other school activities;
  • Performing clerical duties for teachers;
  • Performing substitute duties as assigned;
  • Adheres to Code of Ethics as outlined in 6.60.9 New Mexico Administrators Code; and 
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; and 
  • Current New Mexico Department of Education license appropriate to the teaching assignment with applicable endorsements (bilingual and TESOL preferred) or ability to obtain proper licensure and endorsements.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, designs, and implements inclusive, age-appropriate curricula aligned to the NM State Standards for Physical Education including various sports, games, and fitness techniques
  • Adapts lessons for students with varying abilities;
  • Promotes healthy lifestyle choices, including nutrition, hygience, and benefits of regular activity;
  • Implements approved curricula to achieve student learning at appropriate state standards and benchmarks level for each grade;
  • Arranges physical environment of the classroom for optimum learning and safety of students; 
  • Ensures a safe, clean, and orderly environment for all physical activities;
  • Manages inventory, inspection, and safe storage of all gym equipment and sports apparatus;
  • Uses and applies appropriate conflict resolution skills with students;
  • Maintains positive attitude and ensures classroom environment is conducive to student learning; 
  • Develops goals and objectives for self, group, and student academic achievement, maintaining documentation to assure accountability;
  • Provides appropriate instructional classroom activities for students;

Food Server (3 hours/day)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current or ability to apply and obtain the New Mexico Food Handler Certificate or Food Handler Card license 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, heat, and serve food according to planned menus, recipes, and portion control guidelines.
  • Set up, replenish, and break down serving line, including food, milk, condiments and utensils. 
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipments, and dining areas. Follow policies to maintain safe food temperatures. 
  • Maintain a friendly and efficient environment for students and staff.
  • Operate point-of-sale computer system to record student and adult meals
  • Receive, store and rotate food and supplies in storerooms, freezers and refrigerators.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk continually, and frequently lift up to 35-50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment and follow written/verbal safety instructions. 
  • Ability to use cleaning chemicals and follow written/verbal safety instructions.
